Our Story

DRYmedic Restoration of Cape Coral is owned and run by Nate and Kate โ€” partners in business and in life. Nate spent years running a concrete company and working hands-on in restoration, so he knows how Florida homes are built, how they fail, and what it takes to put them back right. Kate is a registered nurse, and it shows in how this company treats people: when your home floods at 2am, you don't just need trucks and pumps. You need someone who shows up fast, measures instead of guesses, documents everything for your insurance company, and tells you the truth about what needs to happen.

We chose the DRYmedic name because the national network behind it shares that standard: IICRC-certified training, professional-grade drying science, and a process built around treating every property loss like a patient โ€” assess, stabilize, treat, restore. But make no mistake about who you're hiring: this location is independently owned and operated, based right here in Cape Coral. When you call, you're calling a Cape Coral business run by people who live in the same flood maps, evacuate on the same routes, and sweat the same hurricane forecasts you do.

Why Cape Coral Needs a Different Kind of Restoration Company

Southwest Florida is one of the most demanding restoration environments in the country. We deal with things a company in Kansas never thinks about:

  • Hurricane season โ€” six months a year of tropical threat, with surge, wind-driven rain, and post-storm claims surges.
  • 400+ miles of canals โ€” the largest municipal canal system in the world, and a direct path for storm surge into thousands of backyards.
  • Punishing humidity โ€” 70%+ ambient humidity means amateur drying fails here, and mold moves faster than almost anywhere else.
  • Slab-on-grade, concrete-block construction โ€” no basement or crawl space to catch water, so every flood is at living-space level, and moisture trapped under tile and plank flooring hides from the eye.

Everything about how we operate โ€” the equipment we stock, the drying targets we set, the way we check under flooring and inside wall cavities โ€” is tuned for these conditions.

What We Promise on Every Job

  • A real person answers, 24/7/365. Emergencies don't keep business hours, and neither do we.
  • We measure, we don't guess. Moisture readings, thermal imaging, and daily monitoring โ€” and we show you the numbers.
  • Your insurance claim is our job too. Full documentation, direct communication with your adjuster, direct billing where possible.
  • Honest scoping. If something can be dried and saved, we dry it and save it. We don't demo what doesn't need demolition.
  • Your home is treated like ours. Floor protection, contained work areas, and crews you'd be comfortable having around your family.

Credentials & Standards

  • IICRC Certified โ€” the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification sets the industry's scientific standards for water, fire, and mold work.
  • Florida Licensed Mold Remediator (MRSR4918) โ€” state-licensed for mold remediation, fully insured, and IICRC-certified across water, fire, and microbial work. Our credentials โ†’
  • Licensed & insured in Florida โ€” FL Mold Remediator License MRSR4918.
  • Part of the national DRYmedic Restoration network โ€” shared training, large-loss support, and brand standards, independently owned locally.
